All parameters are listed below with examples. The parameters should be entered into the template in the order that you see them on this page. The example demonstrates this with the parameters it does use.
While it is not required to include as many of the lesser important parameters (e.g., online region) as possible in the template, it is encouraged to do so.
Name
The name of the distribution.
Usually, the distribution name will be the same as the page name; when this is the case, use {{PAGENAME}}.
If there are other distributions with the same name and the page title contains brackets to show who made a particular distribution version, use {{Extract-Title|{{PAGENAME}}}}.
Note that this will remove everything from the opening bracket onward and should not be used if brackets are used multiple times in the title — see third example for how to work with a page title having multiple brackets.
For all other cases, the name can be anything else.
The cover of the distribution (if available). This is automatically centered and has its image size set to 250px. Do not try to change this; it will not work and the image will not display.
If the distribution has no cover, remove this line entirely.
The logo of the distribution (if available). This is automatically centered and has its image size set to 210px. Do not try to change this; it will not work and the image will not display.
If the distribution has no logo, remove this line entirely.
You are free to specify what specific types of track there are. For instance, you can say if the distribution contains 64 custom tracks and 32 texture hacks. See the second and third examples for how this is done.
If there are no additional or edited tracks in the distribution, remove this line entirely.
Arguments
Output
tracks= 64
Tracks:
64
tracks= 64 custom tracks
Tracks:
64 custom tracks
tracks= 64 custom tracks,<br>32 texture hacks
Tracks:

Arenas
The number of arenas in the distribution.
You are free to specify what specific types of arenas there are. For instance, you can say if the distribution contains 5 custom battle arenas and 5 texture hacks. See the second and third examples for how this is done.
Use this parameter to note if Battle Mode has been replaced or if it will crash the game.
If there are no additional or edited arenas in the distribution, remove this line entirely.
You are free to specify what specific types of characters there are. For instance, you can say if the distribution contains 7 custom characters and 9 character textures. See the second and third examples for how this is done.
If there are no custom or edited characters in the distribution, remove this line entirely.
Arguments
Output
characters= 5
Characters:
5
characters= 5 custom characters
Characters:

characters= 5 custom characters,<br>7 character textures
Characters:
5 custom characters, 7 character textures
Vehicles
The number of vehicles in the distribution.
You are free to specify what specific types of vehicles there are. For instance, you can say if the distribution contains 7 custom vehicles and 9 vehicle textures. See the second and third examples for how this is done.
If there are no custom or edited vehicles in the distribution, remove this line entirely.
If there are no custom songs, remove this line entirely
Argument
Output
songs= 7
Songs:
7
Missions
If the distribution supports Mission Mode, you can add the number of playable missions using this parameter.
If Mission Mode is not supported, remove this line entirely.
Argument
Output
missions= 8
Missions:
8
Language
The language(s) supported by the distribution.
If the only language supported is English, there is no reason to include this line.
Arguments
Output
language= English
Language:
English
language= English, German
Languages:
English, German
Online
The online service(s) used to play the distribution.
If the distribution in question has no impact on the online service used, especially if it is a My Stuff distribution, there is no reason to include this line.
If there are multiple supported online services, they should be separated by a comma, followed by a space.
Not to be confused with the "Supported Region" parameter, which represents the game regions (i.e., PAL, NTSC-U, etc.) supported.
The online region(s) used by the distribution.
If the distribution in question has no impact on the online regions used, especially if it is a My Stuff distribution, there is no reason to include this line.
If there are multiple supported online regions, they should be separated by a comma, followed by a space.
Arguments
Output
region= 6000
Online region:
6000
region= 4000, 6000
Online regions:
4000, 6000
Online Status
The link to a website which shows the current status of your distribution, for example, the number of rooms currently open, the number of players in each room and who exactly is playing in said rooms.
Unlike the Download and Source Code parameters, this does not make use of Template:Extract-Server when links are provided. URLs must be provided in the same way as you would on any other page.
Argument
Output
online status= [https://invoxiplaygames.uk/mkwstatus/mkwhackpack.php Invoxi Play Games]
↑This also applies to the line being missing entirely.
Date of Release
The date in which the latest version of the distribution was released. More specifically, the latest main version of the distribution; if there is an alternate version which was released later than the main version, do not include that here.
↑This also applies to the line being missing entirely.
↑The earliest known date which had the distribution released; used when the exact date of release is unknown.
↑Used when the year of release is known, but nothing more specific.
Download
The download link(s) for the distribution.
Depending on the website, you can paste in the link without having to go through the standard method of hyperlinks. See Template:Extract-Server for details of regarding which websites this applies to.
If, when this applies, you would like to add a comment beside the download link, such as it having a specific purpose, add a space following the URL and store said comment between brackets. See the third example for how this works.
If more than one download link is provided, there should be a new parameter for each download link. Additional download links should be entered in the line below the previous download link, labelled download2=, download3=, and this can continue up to download10=. An example of this with two download links can be seen on the fourth example.
↑This also applies to the line being missing entirely.
Download Note
Before Using This Parameter
Use this very sparingly. It has only been included in this template at all because major distributions, such as Retro Rewind and Insane Kart Wii, have faced a significant number of tech support requests with the same issue(s). This parameter is therefore used in an attempt to reduce such requests. Do not include this unless you absolutely have to.
Provide a bullet point underneath a particular download link, giving a brief comment if a certain issue may be faced.
Currently, this only supports one note per download link. If you need an extra note for a download link, contact the Wiiki Team as this template will need to be edited. Consider very carefully whether this is needed, as it is already discouraged to have even a single note if it is not absolutely necessary.
The first note should always be specified as download-note=
Like the download parameter, the number increases regarding which download you would like to note. For instance, if you wanted to note the third download link, the parameter should be inserted as download-note3=. Again, like the download parameter, this continues up to download-note10=.
Insert the note parameter directly underneath the download link parameter you would like have a note for. Underneath the note parameter, include the next download link, if there is one. This is demonstrated in the real-world example below.
download-note2= If the download does not start, please copy and paste the download link into your browser address bar. Make sure the link starts with <code>http://</code>.
download3= https://github.com/TeamWheelWizard/WheelWizard/releases (WheelWizard, use this for Dolphin)
If the distribution has a community server, link it here.
Unlike the Download and Source Code parameters, this does not make use of Template:Extract-Server when links are provided. URLs must be provided in the same way as you would on any other page.
The displayed text must be the name of the server.
If the distribution does not have a community server, remove this line entirely.
Argument
Output
community server= [https://discord.gg/RetroRewind Retro Rewind]
Depending on the platform, you can paste in the link without having to go through the standard method of hyperlinks. See Template:Extract-Server for details of regarding which websites this applies to.
If, when this applies, you would like to add a comment beside the platform, such as the username, add a space following the URL and store said comment between brackets. See the third example for how this works.
If more than one social media is provided, there should be a new parameter for each social media, with social media= being changed to social media 1=. Additional accounts should be entered in the line below the previous social media account, labelled social media 2=, social media 3, and this can continue up to social media 10. An example of this with two social media accounts can be seen on the third example.
A website dedicated to the distribution, if one is available.
If the distribution has no dedicated website, remove this line entirely.
Unlike the Download and Source Code parameters, this does not make use of Template:Extract-Server when links are provided. URLs must be provided in the same way as you would on any other page.
The source code of the distribution, if available.
If there is no source code available, remove this line entirely.
Depending on the website, you can paste in the link without having to go through the standard method of hyperlinks. See Template:Extract-Server for details of regarding which websites this applies to.
